Sidbury Mill tour

On Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 May, hundreds of windmills and watermills across the country will open their doors as part of National Mills Weekend.  

Here in Sidbury we will be taking part.  We invite you to join us for a look inside your local mill.  River conditions permitting, you will be able to see the role of the water wheel in powering the milling equipment.

Hear about the history of the mill and how we are preserving part of our food history for today’s discerning bakers.

Open Saturday and Sunday by appointment only.  Tours available at 11, 12.15 and 14.30 on each day.  Spaces strictly limited. Children over 10 years old only please.  Donations towards mill restoration welcome.  Please contact us at sidburymill@btinternet.com to book your place.

Sidbury Mill Open Gardens

Sidbury Mill is participating in the National Garden Schemes open gardens.

The gardens and grounds of Sidbury Mill extend to 6 acres. As well as diversity of plants and trees, it is a haven for wildlife. The gardens range from a perennial, rose and shrub garden, a greenhouse and vegetable patch, to mature woodland through which the River Sid flows. A ‘woodland walk’ encompasses many elements of the gardens through which the visitor will appreciate the plants and wildlife.
